The Mexico-U.S. Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchange (COMEXUS) directs the Fulbright-Garcia Robles Scholarship Program. Established by a bilateral agreement in 1990, Fulbright-Garcia Robles is the flagship program in U.S.-Mexico academic exchanges, to which both countries contribute a combined total of over $3.5 million each year. Since COMEXUS was established, over 4,000 Mexican and American students, professors, and English language teachers have benefited from Fulbright-Garcia Robles grants.
As with all independent Fulbright Commissions, the mission of COMEXUS is to develop mutual understanding among the citizens of Mexico and the United States through academic exchanges. COMEXUS is celebrating its 25th Anniversary in 2015.
